1 pointsby Flenser12 months ago
Meta have emailed saying they have a "legal basis called legitimate interests for using your information to develop and improve AI"
They provide a link to a form to object to this processing:
https://www.facebook.com/help/contact/6359191084165019
It asks the these two questions:
Please tell us how this processing impacts you. (Required)
Please provide any additional information that could help us review your objection. (Optional)
On what grounds can I object?

A nuclear warhead by post with a very very very angry letter explaining that, you also have a "legal Basis to stop you using my personal stuff".
Apart from that, forget about it and go off grid and accept that you have been a muppet!
Do people not think about the future, take responsibility or consider the consequences of their actions.
Like sharing all that data in the first place!

> they have a "legal basis called legitimate interests for using your information to develop and improve AI"
UK?
I much doubt that would wash.
Report to the ICO.

What you do on FB belongs to Meta and they basically can do whatever they want with your data. You're the product.
