> Every once in a while one runs into "large minded people" like Sam Altman and Vishal Sikka, who do have access to funding that is unfettered enough to lead to really new ideas.
From Alan kay in 2016 (https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=11940998)
It is amazing to me that all these big names including Ilya, Alan Kay, Sergey Levine are not at all vocal in this regard. I would have hoped for them to be somewhat more idealistic and perhaps Ilya did show that and ended up departing but would have also expected more from Alan Kay.

He should drop the word Open from the company name while he's at it.
Ca$hAI could be a good name.

Would they be on the hook for back taxes?

I thought this was an Onion headline at first. Right up there with "New Analysis: Mark Zuckerberg Possibly Not Nice."
