Ask HN: Best place to host getting started courses for users?

3 pointsby giorgosera12 months ago
My SaaS company wants to create getting started courses for customers to learn how to use our platform!
We're talking about simple video and text lessons! Essentially a series of guides.
We'd like to offer certifications in the future.
I'm looking into LMS platforms like Skilljar, Workramp, TalentLMS etc but a) most of them do not mention pricing and b) they look like an overkill for what we want to do!
Is there another/better/easier way?

If it's only video, you will benefit significantly if you upload them to YouTube. Create a channel "MY PRODUCT Learning", "MY PRODUCT University", etc.
Videos not only help customers use your product but also serve as effective ways to reach people organically. Many people find watching a video to be enough compromise of energy given to learn a subject than reading text.
