Has there been any case where the FBI investigated the &quot;illegal&quot; use of an open-source library&#x2F;software in another closed-source software, where the license of the open-source one dictates that both should be open? I doubt it, unless I missed the news, or perhaps according to the FBI, writing software doesn&#x27;t count as &quot;creative work.&quot;

48 Years seems excessive. 10 years, maybe up to 20, including lifetime fines, but this isn&#x27;t drug or modern slavery trafficking, manslaughter or murder.<p>Throwing around this kind of sentence really does demean other crimes&#x27; jail sentences and tell you were the justice system&#x27;s priorities lie.
