I&#x27;m worried about cases like these. They will set major precedents for what&#x27;s to come in the post LLM world.<p>While I understand where they are coming from (theft is bad), we risk stifling innovation by siloing off access to data for training better models.<p>OTOH, the current precedent isn&#x27;t helping. Big AI labs are scraping and training on whatever they can get their hands on and big social platforms are charging insane costs for access to their APIs.<p>All of this seems completely backwards to me. The data originates from users, yet it&#x27;s the platform owners fighting for control over it.
