When setting up a new backup strategy, is git the way to go these days?<p>Or does rdiff-backup still have advantages over git?

Git is a source code control system, not a backup.<p>You might be referring to &#x27;bup&#x27;, which is a backup system using git packfiles to store backup data.<p>As for advantages, you&#x27;ll have to compare the feature set of both and decide for yourself.
