Absolute scum of the earth villainy, just the worst sharks of this planet. That we literally cannot make an audio encoding system that doesn't get jammed up by stupid ass patents unspeakably delegitimizes the idea of IP. Humanity has to be allowed to do something for itself.
They actually published the patent list this time, which they didn't when these sharks first declared the pool. There's actually ~33 US patents, with the same parents filed in many countries.
I just get so hopeless with this stuff because companies are so good at taking open source work then spending so much effort iterating endlessly to invent encumbrance for encumbrance sake. They provide no value, do nothing, just congest & block society. There's no possible way to prevent that, no legal options for a public good to ever emerge with such an Advanced Persistent Piece Of Shit team of lawyers. IP law allows infinite creativity in obstructing, and now that its first to file companies can keep iterating on new encumbrances & there's nothing we can do to stop them, no way to make a public good.
These are such toxic vile companies, Dolby & Fraunhofer IIS. Shame on them, you iconift the evil that government can allow & you exploit from the good.
