GDPR is not a bad <i>idea</i> .... but, as with so many things, it is <i>never</i> the <i>idea</i> that matters - it is the <i>implementation</i>.<p>As implemented, GDPR is a massive waste of time, energy, and money (unless, of course, you are an audit and compliance firm - it has, I suspect, been GREAT for you!)<p>Do we - as individuals, regional societies, and society at large need better data protection?<p>Absolutely, YES!<p>Is GDPR a step in a better direction than no rules?<p>... maybe?<p>But when it drives masses of people away from your economy, it is certainly not good for those who have remained in your economy
