Tech leadership is going to sing loud about taxes and liberalisation of VC friendly economics and environment, but the reality is whatever Silicon Valley has, you can't bottle it.
Every attempt in Europe, Asia to replicate it has failed.
Vance should be careful he doesn't destroy the thing he loves. I don't often believe my own bullshit, but I do believe Jobs, Musk, Andreesen-Horowitz, Zuck do NOT define what made Silicon Valley work. They're the robber barons of our age, not the actual innovators. (Jobs maybe I say that unfairly)
> Vice presidents have a history of being shunted to the background, and there’s every chance that Trump will do that to his 39-year-old running mate.
The deciding factor will be how much Vance is willing to act as an unequivocal Trump cheerleader/sockpuppet on TV. Mike Pence wasn't interested in doing that.
