I think that if civilized people keep tolerating and normalizing warfare long enough then it eventually catches up with them in their own country.<p>Exactly what you are supposed to do to stop it, I am not sure. But just complete acceptance or even enthusiasm for warfare is not a safe or necessarily sane response.<p>I also think that part of this is that people latch on to simplified one-sided fairy tale explanations of conflicts.
