Show HN: I built a flash card app for Swedish

1 pointsby davorb10 months ago
Hey everyone! I wanted to share a project I've been working on recently. My fiancée started learning Swedish, and she was looking for a good flash card app to help her study. We checked out a few options, but they were either too expensive or just didn't quite meet her needs.
So, I decided to take a crack at building my own app using Vite. I built the first prototype in under an hour, and added a few features that she said she needed the next day and the day after that. It was a fun challenge, and I'm pretty happy with how it turned out! The app is simple and straightforward right now, but I designed it to be easy to expand and improve as my fiancée's Swedish skills grow.
One of the things I'm considering is adding support for other languages in the future. I think it could be really helpful for people who are learning a new language and want a customizable flash card app.
The best part is, my fiancée has been using the app to study, and it's been working really well for her. It's rewarding to see something I built making a difference in her language learning journey.
I'd love to hear your feedback and suggestions!
Also, if anyone else has experience building language learning tools or has any tips for improving the app, I'm all ears. I'm excited to keep working on this project and see where it goes. Thanks for reading, and I can't wait to hear your thoughts!
