Using the term 'AI' in product descriptions reduces purchase intentions

Anyone who has had to deal with an automated phone tree will happily take a sledgehammer to most of these "AI" products. They are fun toys but couldn't figuratively tie their own shoes, much less do what corporations are asking them to.
People aren't stupid, they know that these AI products are not going to just be used to make their lives better. Instead, they are going to be used to create dark patterns and stand between you and the services you need or exploit you more effectively.
Want to deal with a double charge on your credit card? Talk with our AI "Sally" for three hours first and see if you can convince her to let you talk to someone who can help you.
Need to get your heating fixed on your apartment? Our new AI landlord will happily blather idiot suggestions at you about checking that the filter has been replaced and how to clean it yourself while you freeze.
