Ask HN: What Is the Derivative of Not(x)?

3 pointsby andromaton9 months ago
This post by Stephen Wolfram was on the home page recently: https://writings.stephenwolfram.com/2024/08/whats-really-going-on-in-machine-learning-some-minimal-models/. It says the partial derivative of Not(x) is False. I don't understand why. Help appreciated.

Pretty much a dirac delta function since Not(x) x < 0 = 0 >> Not sure about this x > 0 = 0 x = 0 - 1
