It’s not even out yet and they’re already going back on their word, as it’s now described as opt-out instead of opt in. Without being able to uninstall it, it will be yet another user hostile feature that keeps getting “accidentally” re-enabled every time a patch gets installed.
This is a good thing imo. It will just push slightly more people off windows into Linux. Linux desktop marketshare is increasing incredibly quickly the last few years. Probably due to valve and the steam deck. But I think Microsoft butchering windows also has at least a little effect.
