Show HN: StickerDocs – Organise and Share Files Securely Using Stickers

A couple years ago, in response to my frustrations with a popular note-taking solution, I set about to find a privacy-focussed solution my family could use. One that would just work reliably, without loosing or corrupting data, and one which has a focus on privacy and security whilst being easy to use. I couldn’t find anything so I set about to build a fun app for a non-techie-first audience.<p>Nb. I have recently discovered the power combo of Obsidian, Syncthing and Borg backup to be a great fit for my needs, however my heart and passion is still very much rooted in this app..<p>So today I present to you StickerDocs. I hope it’s quite self-explanatory?<p>You put stickers on docs (files, whatever) and with those stickers you can organise and&#x2F;or share things. Whatever is labelled with a sticker is securely shared and synced with whomever you decide.<p>The core of the solution is open source but the app is not. It’s built using Flutter and is available on most popular platforms and app stores. The encryption is achieved using libsodium. Data is stored, synchronised and shared using end-to-end encryption. Synchronisation is achieved using CRDTs.<p>The solution is a paid-for subscription because it’s cloud storage and because this is a commercial venture. The app is freemium so people can try it before taking out a subscription.<p>I have big plans for the future of this app, such as on-device OCR to name just one. What I present today is just the start, so whilst it may (intentionally) look quite basic now, I hope in future it retains this simplicity whilst providing more features.<p>Thanks, Anthony, creator of StickerDocs
