17T magnets are insane. Like, if you thought a MRI magnet is strong, these are several times stronger.

It'd be interesting if even older fusion ideas like magnetic mirrors work fine if you just pair them with sufficiently powerful magnets that we did not have the technology to build back when we first tested them out.
