Curious what the author's take is on OpenAI's, Tesla's, and Boston Dynamic's approaches to robots. All three of which have primarily humanoid robots (or even dog-shaped ones) - which makes sense to me because those are form factors around which we've built our world to interact with. Also curious about the author's take on the progress from those other companies. Who is closest to making a fully autonomous robot, if any? Waymo's self-driving is so incredibly impressive to me. If something similar comes along for sidewalk robots in the next 5 or 10 years and think this will flip the world on its head.
