Eggs were never the villain. Eggs are fantastic source of nutrients.
I've coalesced my daily breakfast into one invariant meal with several courses. One of those courses is two eggs, cracked into a plastic cup. I never cook 'em--that's crazy. Loses essential nutrients at every step.
It's funny how those stereotypical "boxer" or "bodybuilder" film montages depicted them making a big smoothie with raw eggs, and it tended to gross everyone out. There's no issue with consumption of raw eggs at the peak of freshness. I don't get sick; I feel good and healthy. I like a little salt and turmeric for flavor; raw eggs are not too appetizing in isolation!
Awhile ago I took on a juice fast with detailed instructions. I drank only organic fruit/veg juices for 10-14 days. The instructions said to supplement with eggs only. Eggs would bolster the protein and other nutrients missing from juice. I had no problems and felt really great after that. It's supposed to starve candida and help reset the GI tract. I have no evidence of its efficacy, but it sure didn't hurt, and it was cost-effective!

Before even reading the somewhat clickbaity article, here's my own experience with the effect of egg consumption on cholesterol. This is a sample size of 1, so take it with the same pinch of salt you'd take with your eggs.
- Boiled eggs seem to cause severe and sudden jump in cholesterol compared to scrambled and fried. My hypothesis here is that the degree of coagulation of the protein affects the levels differently. - Lack of physical exercise causes an immediate uptick in high cholesterol-related symptoms. - The other components of the diet, for example, yogurt seem to lessen the impact
