Ask HN: Is Gnu.org Down for a Reason?

I checked both gnu.org because of pull from git.savanna.gnu.org that failed. I think it's been down for a few hours too.

The problem is upstream of our servers. There is no eta at this time and we don&#x27;t expect one at least until sometime tomorrow, but hopefully it is fixed long before that. Yup, the first time in my life I wanted to take the plunge and try emacs, and realized that the server is down. is this a sign to just stick with nvim XD ?

yes it is, tried downloading emacs even yesterday and it was down as well
