Hello HN. Been in Chicago a few years now.<p>Looking to connect with other technology folks in the area.<p>I realize it's not SF, but I'm sure there has to be a community here.<p>Anyone part of any or have recommendations?<p>I've tried thotcon and the community was great, but I'm looking for more web development / python / javascript communities as I'm not in the dev sec ops space.<p>I've looked at hackerspaces like pumping station one too, but that seems hardware / physical objects focused and not much software.<p>I know 1871 exists, but haven't gone yet, not sure if it's worth checking out.<p>Thanks in advance!
