While I don't know the exact figure, it seems most fire departments are forced to basically buy special stuff to fight EV fires or they basically douse it in water and hope for the best. ( iv read a few instances in Europe where they submerged the car for over a week to put the fire out)<p>If this is real and able to move from the lab and into EV's in 2026 without jacking up prices even more then that's a massive win.
