Hello HN,
I am an undergrad majoring in mechanical engineering. I've always had a love for coding looking for ways to earn some money as a developer, because it has been a little rough lately.
What I would ideally love is small one-off gigs that I can complete over a week or less, or a remote job that isn't too intensive. If the tech stack is up to me, I can build good looking, accessible and performant web applications really fast, with database, authentication and all. But I'm also a quick learner so I can adapt to my employer's requirements. I am comfortable with a modest hourly rate, something as low as 10 USDs/hour should suffice my needs.
I have a lot of side hustles and start-ups planned, but right now, I need something quickly.
If anyone could guide me in the right direction, I would be forever grateful!
Here's my GitHub if you want to check a couple of projects I built: https://github.com/shajidhasan
If you’re on campus you might want to consider jobs like TA, desk attendant or lab monitor. Most of them have lots of downtime and will pay decent so you can work on your own studies/projects.
