I do much better in all aspects of life when I maintain a strict sleeping schedule, such as 10pm - 6am. Problem is, I can never maintain this for more than a few weeks, as there are so many distractions in life and discipline is finite.
But when I go camping it’s so easy, it gets dark and there’s nothing to do, so I go to sleep. I was thinking maybe I should try to automate this kind of thing in my apartment. I’d want lights to slowly dim and switch to red and then finally turn off, blinds to auto shut, internet to be disabled, and anything else that would prevent distraction and clue my body into the bedtime routine.
Has anyone tried such a thing? If so what was your setup and how well did it work?
