Ask HN: What contact lenses do you wear as a tech professional?

1 pointsby websap7 months ago
I'm in the market to get some new contact lenses. Have a doctor's appointment tomorrow and will be asking for samples.
I prefer daily contact lenses and I need toric lenses.
Currently using Cooper Vision and they aren't great. I can't wear them all the time for work.
Looking for recommendations are there any advancements in contact lenses in recent years?

It really depends on your specific needs (your prescription, tolerance for dryness, cleaning preferences, etc.). Any optometrist would give you trial pairs to test out before you buy a multi-month supply.
In general glasses would probably be a lot more comfortable for extended time in front of a computer. You might also want to consider Lasik, SMILE, or implantable collamer lenses (ICL). ICLs in particular can be reversed while the other two cannot.
