AI or not has no influence on the remote work argument imo. A quick search seems to indicate that this guy is the ceo of gumroad. In other high in a management tree, they are always trying to make arguments to stop remote working. No surprise that this is his conclusion.
If AI kills a job, it kills a job, regardless of where that job is located.<p>I can't see what RTO brings outside of some vague "improved collaboration" which is hard to quantify, and can be done remotely with common tools and practices.
Sounds like cope, tbh. If they are really seeing such amazing productivity gains, I'm guessing they are also reducing to a 3 hour work day, right?
