Ask HN: What virtual mailbox do you use for your business?

1 pointsby mixeden7 months ago
Hey there everyone, I'm starting a new business (and incorporating as Delaware C-corp), and I need a not-super-expensive mailbox. The number of mails per month will be close to 0. What (anytimemailbox.com, physicaladdress.com, usestable.com, or whatever) do you guys use?

I travel and live abroad permanently, but I need to maintain a US mailing address and phone number. I have used TravelingMailbox for many years. Good customer service, addresses all over the USA. I looked at several services (and the new ones that pop up), they all seem to have similar pricing and services. I don't get a lot of mail. They scan incoming mail, will receive from USPS, FedEx, UPS, including parcels, can forward anywhere in the world.
Note that you have to fill out a USPS form to authorize a mail receiving service, including notary (which you can do online).
Also note that some organizations require an actual residential address, and they have access to databases that tell them you gave a mail receiving service. Mostly happens because of "know your customer" laws with banks, credit card companies, DMV, some other govt. agencies. Usually you can add the virtual address as a mailing address.
