I've worked in some fairly drab offices, I can't think of a single one that didn't have free coffee, albeit bad, Folgers-tier coffee sometimes. Slashing free office coffee won't help anybody's bottom line that much, and probably feels like a slap in the face. Also, since people now have to slip out for coffee, it probably has a negative effect on productivity.
ARM can't win fast enough, if you ask me.

Not sure a better stimulus for work has ever been discovered or invented. If times are tough, maybe it’s because there wasn’t enough free coffee.

Free coffee should lead to a dramatic morale boost. I heard they will bring back toilet tissue in the restrooms next quarter.

This seems like a joke, never the less https://archive.is/bqAli
