This... isn't news. People have called out AI scaling as a bathtub curve since GPT-3. We long passed the inflection point where AI could produce readable text but not do any of the things we were promised in a reliable manner. If you have an at all grounded understanding of AI research and model training today this is like 101-level stuff.<p>This is only shocking news to people that hear "AGI" and don't habitually cringe.
