"everyone always told me that the implied setting of AD&D was post-apocalyptic"<p>Really?<p>I guess in the sense that Britian is post apocalyptic with the ruins of several great societies scattered across the land. I'm not sure that really qualifies as post apocalyptic in the thunder the Barbarian or Aloy sense in my book.<p>DnD has always struck me as high magic, high fantasy medieval/feudal Europe.
