Well, if you are already paying Oracle, then most probably you do it because you need support that only they can provide - like time sensitive JVM patches, or custom (and supported) JVM, or whatever else they do for the money.<p>So... what&#x27;s really the alternative? Not paying and closing up the shop? Or moving from Oracle? If moving from Oracle was an option, why hasn&#x27;t it happened yet?
