The lifespan estimates in the first table don't seem very good. (It would be nice to see the article's sources, at least.) For a few examples: per Wikipedia, chickens typically only live to be between 5 and 10 years old (even if not slaughtered) and 16 is a world record (compare the table's 15); 30 would be a better estimate than 40 for horses; on the other hand giraffes might commonly live to be much older than 20 if protected from predators.
