I loved learning about the carpool system. I also appreciate the great summary of James C. Scott's work, which has also deeply influenced me.<p>But I'm left at the end with a reminder of how tough anarchist approaches are to effect. The carpool website asserts that "everyone" runs the system. But is that really true? one person wrote that. I bet very few (entrepreneurial) people actually started it. If there was something to be improved/fixed in the system, could "anyone" achieve that? Or could no one?
