Apps blocked by the Play Integrity API have a wider impact, making it harder to modify apps and continue using apps their developers no longer support.
Accessibility, Notification listener, Device admin apps, Display over other apps, Usage access, Dialer, SMS, SMS runtime.<p>I can see why Google restricted those. I find it more difficult to see why this is raw deal for anyone.<p>(Except black hats who now need to enumerate each permission and explain to users why their app need e.g. SMS runtime access.)
Close to click bait?<p>As long as side loading is possible, I don't see were the onus of explicitly having to give a sideloaded app specific permissions is a major problem.
