It would be interesting to learn more about the hardware and CPU platforms used - e.g. radiation hardened SPARC (Gaisler Leon-based?) or PowerPC systems - and if the source code for the satellite platforms&#x27; NetBSD port is available.<p>While there&#x27;s a lot of information about the described satellites online, I was unable to find details on these details.

How active is NetBSD theses days? It seems like pkgsrc is running really well, but the impression I get from the base operating system is that it&#x27;s very few people working continuously, with major work being contributed by various people and projects in bursts. So yes there&#x27;s all these features, but are they being maintained... Maybe they don&#x27;t need to?<p>I should try NetBSD again sometime, it&#x27;s a fascinating project.
