The phenomenon helping planes slingshot across the Atlantic at 800 MPH

I was confused at first why no sonic boom but: Similar to a moving walkway at an airport, where your walking speed remains the same, but your overall speed increases because the walkway is moving. Ground speed is > 800 but airspeed is not.
