Maybe these are just scripted with no intelligence, but it’s clear that the advancement in actuators and manufacturing will be combined with advancements in AI software very soon. It’s horrifying to think of the potential of a militarized intelligent humanoid (and also militarized versions of Unitree’s amazing dog robots) could be used for in the hands of an authoritarian government.<p>A question on my mind is what companies like Boston Dynamics are doing? I feel like they’ve been very slow to make progress compared to Chinese robotics companies, who clearly are the best at robotics hardware
