Something I always find is that when I write about something I'm interested in, I always end up being way more informed about the topic than if I hadn't written about it.<p>There's something about having to get a point across, that lends itself to diving deeper into a topic. Usually I'll learn a few things while researching and writing an article, and then another few things when people ask me questions about what I've written. And even if no one does end up reading it, it still feels like it helps.
