They&#x27;re trying very hard to manufacture a story here.<p>Skipping to the end: satellite reentries are 12% of the space industry&#x27;s contribution to ozone depletion (they write). The space industry, in turn, is 0.1% of the anthropocentric ozone depletion. Put together: satellite reentries are 0.01% of the total.<p>(And that total is itself a small fraction of the 20th century levels, prior to the Montreal protocol).
