Title suggestion: -2025) [is] rising 1.56mm per<p>I&#x27;m not familiar with NOAA&#x27;s methodology for this - but for Honolulu, I suspect there are both &quot;sea levels rising&quot;, and local subsidence issues. It&#x27;s on the island of O&#x27;ahu. Which is purely volcanic, created by the the Hawaii hotspot. And O&#x27;ahu is now fading away, because that hotspot has moved on. So part of the seeming sea level rise there could be due to the ground subsiding a bit, both from thermal contraction as deeper rocks slowly cool, and perhaps some draining of deep magma chambers.<p><a href="https:&#x2F;&#x2F;en.wikipedia.org&#x2F;wiki&#x2F;Evolution_of_Hawaiian_volcanoes" rel="nofollow">https:&#x2F;&#x2F;en.wikipedia.org&#x2F;wiki&#x2F;Evolution_of_Hawaiian_volcanoe...</a>
