Jackson Pollock's Studio Floor

As an historical artifact this is interesting but I wonder why we don't do this for say Andrew Wyeth. Is it because the general public doesn't recognize the difference between Pollock's work and the mess on the floor. What makes Art art and not erosion is intention. If you look closely at a Pollock you see splotches doing impossible DeKooning tricks going over and under each other like they were all laid down at one time -- not in succession. This is the magic of "Action Painting". If there are moments like these in that floor they're not considered or on purpose. Why and how do we build cults of personality around people who create things we don't understand? To many people this is Einstein too. It's no wonder so many Americans feel comfortable with anti-intellectualism and ignoring experts when they can't recognize the qualities of something that makes it good or praiseworthy and are then lied to about the artistic value of drips on a floor.
