The gambling industry isn’t just preying on psychology—it’s hacking biology. Men have higher concentrations of excitatory D1 receptors in the NAc, making them more susceptible to addiction. So what do they get? A hyper-optimized dopamine machine disguised as "sports knowledge monetization." It’s not just marketing; it’s engineered exploitation at the neurochemical level. Wild.

The expansion of sports gambling in the US has been horrible.
Constant gambling ads, endorsements and etc. It's just not the same as your generic truck advertisement. At least the truck advertisement is trying to sell someone something with utility. The gambling ads are just looking for suckers and to drain as much money from them ... and leave these people's families and society to pickup the pieces and pay the price.
I was at a wedding of some younger folks recently, that's all they could do was at a wedding check their phones and talk about gambling. Throwing money away at the time in their life that it is most valuable to save.
The whole atmosphere of the expanded gambling in the US is bad.
