Britain&#x27;s first power reactor was Calder Hall in 1956. Its often claimed to be the first which entered a national grid service role. And, it appears true given it entered service a year before Shippingport.<p>Despite having had a huge leading role in early reactor design, Canada&#x27;s first power reactor was 1962.
