How is PTO an “indirect cost”, when salary is a direct cost? The company pays a salary to an employee, which includes time off. Is there a separate accounting rule for PTO that moves it to the indirect category?<p>Another option is to hire the employee as a contractor and let them deal with their own benefits and time off. What am I not understanding here?

I love the first line: &quot;Recent laws from the Executive branch&quot;. LOL. The Executive Branch cannot make laws per the constitution. These are lawbreakers.
