ASK HN: How do you explain AI to non-technical teams?

2 pointsby franze3 months ago
ML/GPT models can feel opaque to people outside engineering. If you’ve had to communicate model decisions, risks, or limitations to stakeholders, what worked and what didn’t? How do you build trust and understanding around AI’s outputs?

I found this very insightful, and quite a good summary and overview of what you can expect from an LLM
https://thebullshitmachines.com/

Same way it works with farm animals. There is no explaination required cause it doesnt matter what they understand about the farm, other than do x and you get a carrot.

Depends on the model, but a highly knowledgable but inexperienced and prone to guesswork junior developer is what I could call ChatGPT.
