This article talks about “time theft” by employees, and yet wage theft by employers is larger than <i>all other forms of theft, combined.</i><p>Plus, to steal from an employer is a criminal offence, but for an employer to steal from you is a civil matter. As in, the former can land an employee in jail with a criminal record, the latter… has absolutely no effect on the employer.<p>Until employers are thrown in jail and acquire a criminal record for stealing from employees (and I’m talking about the entire chain clear up to the CEO), the employment landscape is tilted severely - and <i>hilariously</i> so - against employees, and in favour of employers.
