Crypto is currently one of the best ways to transfer wealth from desperate, lower income people to a lucky few while offering no value to the world except money laundering and buying illegal things.<p>I used to work in crypto analytics. Every thing is either a rug pull, unregistered security, sophisticated pump and dump, straight up scam, insider trading or all of the above.<p>Of course crypto has captured the government. They basically create money from thin air and then use that to buy politicians. Politicians get paid in cash or in the case of Trump, probably through his meme coin via pump and dump, or rug pull.
