As a user of Firefox and uBlock, I haven't watched a YouTube ad in years, and I use it daily.<p>Is Chrome really that bad that people buy premium to avoid ads?
It was fascinating hearing LTT talk about how much less money they get from Adsense than from their own embedded ads.<p>They only do two 15-second embedded ads per video, and they make an order of magnitude more money through their in-house ad sales. That is even factoring in the amount of skips, ad-blocking, and the minutes of ads Google puts on their videos.<p>Which begs the question: Do Google's video ads just really suck? Are they just really bad at delivering ads and getting buyers? Is that why they have to shove so many into each video now?

Oh it doesn't have downloads so not going to be useful for me. I might just spend some dollars for a month of Premium subscription and download as much as I can, then stop until the next time I need to do so.
This still doesn't resolve the issue of embedded ads. YouTube continues to falsely advertise this as ad-free, but the end result is still loaded with ads.
