"Wrapper" is an unnecessarily derisive term here, usually reserved for a chat box interface to an LLM. Manus (and Cursor) are RAG applications that use the chat conversation to control the tool (an IDE or VM).<p>We could dismiss all of these as just wrappers, but the future of software development looks like this -- with all applications of any importance having some kind of AI/LLM/RAG wiring. The same is true of the internet today. There are no "internet" applications. All apps use the net.
