Ask HN: Reassurances against labor action at the largest tech giants?

2 pointsby bgilroy262 months ago
The question is prompted by learning of this story:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1892_Coeur_d%27Alene_labor_strike#violence_at_the_frisco_and_gem_mines
From a naive shareholder's standpoint, wouldn't it be possible for a group of employees working together to erase a key part of a major product and destroy the backups?
I would assume that this would be an important part of running a technology company with a rich history including both technical and internal policy innovations but I wouldn't even know where to start studying it. Which position in the standard C-level management is responsible to sign off on countermeasures?
