Show HN: Guake Theme Switcher – Light/dark mode for your terminal

1 pointsby tnfruabout 2 months ago
I got tired of my terminal being painfully bright at night and impossible to read in daylight, so I built this small utility for Guake Terminal. It lets you save different color schemes and switch between them with simple commands like day and night.<p>The main frustration it solves is keeping LSD (ls-deluxe) readable - yellow text on white backgrounds is a nightmare. Now when I toggle my system between light&#x2F;dark modes, my terminal, ls colors, and LSD output all switch automatically. Nothing groundbreaking, but it&#x27;s made my terminal experience much more pleasant when working in different lighting conditions. It also has zero dependencies.
